Corylus press enquiries
Corylus is a design-led self-catering stay above Ullapool, overlooking Loch Broom on Scotland’s north-west coast.
Created, built and operated by Sam Planterose and Andrea Jud, Corylus is a true family business with a self-build story at its heart. The project was brought to life through Sam’s work in bespoke timber design and build, with the building shaped by hand, over time, around craft, comfort, light and the surrounding Highland landscape.
Corylus offers two architect-designed apartments, Fjell and Fjord, which can be booked separately or together as a private whole-property stay. The result is a quiet, highly considered place to stay, where the design, materials and practical details all come from direct involvement in the making of the building itself.
